By accessing RideSounds.com, scheduling an appointment, approving an estimate, purchasing products or services, or authorizing Ride Sounds to perform work on a vehicle, you agree to these Terms.

2. Appointments

Appointments may be scheduled through RideSounds.com or through another method approved by Ride Sounds.

Appointment and completion times are estimates. Ride Sounds does not guarantee that a vehicle will be completed at a particular time unless specifically agreed to in writing.

Installation times may change because of vehicle condition, equipment compatibility, hidden factory wiring, previously modified wiring, defective equipment, missing parts, software issues, CANBUS or data-integration problems, fabrication requirements, or other conditions discovered during service.

Customers are responsible for making appropriate transportation arrangements while their vehicle is being serviced.

3. Estimates and Authorization

Estimates are based on the information reasonably available when the estimate is prepared.

The customer authorizes only work approved through the applicable estimate, invoice, work authorization, electronic approval, written communication, or other documented authorization.

If additional work, parts, labor, or diagnostic services become necessary, Ride Sounds may stop work and contact the customer for additional authorization when required.

Customer authorization may be documented electronically, in writing, or through other methods permitted by applicable law.

4. Vehicle Condition

Customers are responsible for informing Ride Sounds of known vehicle problems before service begins, including electrical problems, warning lights, battery or charging-system issues, water leaks, previous aftermarket wiring, alarms, remote-start systems, damaged panels, broken clips, non-functioning factory equipment, or other modifications.

Ride Sounds is not responsible for a pre-existing defect or condition merely because that condition becomes apparent during or after installation.

5. Previously Modified Vehicles

Vehicles previously modified by another installer, owner, dealership, repair facility, or aftermarket company may require additional diagnostic or corrective work.

This may include repairing cut factory wiring, improper grounds, damaged connectors, undocumented wiring, incorrect fuse protection, damaged CANBUS wiring, improperly bypassed factory amplifiers, or incompatible aftermarket equipment.

Additional diagnostic or repair work may result in additional charges subject to applicable authorization requirements.

6. Customer-Supplied Equipment

Ride Sounds may install customer-supplied equipment at its discretion.

Unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing, Ride Sounds does not provide a product warranty on equipment supplied by the customer.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that customer-supplied equipment is correct, complete, functional, and compatible with the vehicle.

Additional labor caused by defective, incorrect, incomplete, incompatible, damaged, used, counterfeit, or improperly configured equipment may be charged separately.

Removal and replacement of defective customer-supplied equipment may require additional labor charges.

7. Ride Sounds-Supplied Equipment

Products supplied by Ride Sounds may be covered by a manufacturer’s warranty or another warranty specifically stated on the customer’s invoice.

Manufacturer warranties are subject to the manufacturer’s terms and conditions.

Damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, water, improper adjustment, unauthorized modifications, electrical problems, incorrect impedance, overdriving equipment, or work performed by another party may not be covered.

8. Installation Warranty

Any Ride Sounds labor warranty applies only to the original installation and original customer unless otherwise stated in writing.

A labor warranty covers defects directly attributable to Ride Sounds installation workmanship during the applicable warranty period.

A labor warranty does not cover equipment failure, manufacturer defects, vehicle failure, customer modifications, accidents, environmental damage, voltage problems, misuse, abuse, or work performed by another person or business.

Ride Sounds must be provided a reasonable opportunity to inspect an alleged installation problem before another party modifies or repairs the installation.

Modification of Ride Sounds’ work by another party may void applicable warranty coverage to the extent that the modification affects our installation or prevents Ride Sounds from determining the cause of the problem.

9. Custom Fabrication and Vehicle Modification

Custom installations may require permanent modification of vehicle components.

This may include cutting, drilling, mounting, trimming, modifying panels, modifying headliners, installing custom enclosures, mounting speakers or amplifiers, routing wiring, and performing other fabrication necessary for the approved installation.

By approving custom work, the customer authorizes modifications reasonably necessary to complete the approved installation.

Custom-built, fabricated, modified, special-order, or vehicle-specific products may be non-refundable to the extent permitted by law.

10. Factory System and CANBUS Integration

Modern vehicles may use CANBUS networks, MOST/fiber-optic systems, factory amplifiers, active noise cancellation, factory DSP systems, data-controlled accessories, steering-wheel controls, cameras, parking sensors, and other integrated electronics.

Aftermarket equipment may alter or eliminate certain factory functions.

Ride Sounds will make reasonable efforts to identify compatibility issues but cannot guarantee that every factory feature will operate with every aftermarket product unless specifically stated in writing.

Future vehicle, manufacturer, software, or firmware updates may also affect aftermarket equipment compatibility.

11. Diagnostic Services

Diagnostic fees compensate Ride Sounds for the time and expertise required to inspect and troubleshoot a vehicle or system.

Payment of a diagnostic fee does not guarantee that a problem can be repaired or that the exact cause can always be identified.

Intermittent electrical problems may require multiple diagnostic sessions.

Unless otherwise stated, diagnostic charges are separate from repair or installation charges.

12. Audio System Performance

Audio-system performance depends on vehicle acoustics, equipment selection, speaker placement, enclosure design, electrical capacity, source quality, factory integration, installation, tuning, and other factors.

Ride Sounds does not guarantee a particular sound-pressure level, frequency response, competition result, or subjective sound preference unless specifically agreed to in writing.

13. High-Power Audio Systems and Electrical Upgrades

High-powered audio systems can place substantial demand on a vehicle’s charging and electrical system.

Ride Sounds may recommend upgraded batteries, grounds, alternators, OFC wiring, Big 3 upgrades, or other electrical improvements.

If a customer declines a recommended electrical upgrade, Ride Sounds is not responsible for performance problems or damage resulting from inadequate electrical capacity except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

14. Lighting Modifications

Customers are responsible for operating aftermarket exterior lighting in compliance with applicable laws.

Certain colors, flashing patterns, brightness levels, underglow systems, or other lighting configurations may be restricted when a vehicle is operated on public roads.

Installation of a lighting system does not constitute a representation that every available lighting mode is legal for public-road use.

15. Security Systems and Kill Switches

Alarms, remote-start systems, tracking devices, battery disconnects, and custom kill switches are security measures and deterrents. They cannot guarantee that a vehicle will not be stolen, vandalized, entered, damaged, or otherwise compromised.

Ride Sounds does not guarantee that any security system or kill switch will prevent vehicle theft.

Customers are responsible for understanding the proper operation of security and immobilization systems installed in their vehicles.

16. Deposits and Special Orders

Ride Sounds may require a deposit before ordering equipment, reserving significant installation time, or beginning custom fabrication.

Deposits associated with special-order, vehicle-specific, or custom-fabricated products may become non-refundable after products have been ordered or fabrication has begun, subject to applicable law.

Any applicable deposit requirements will be disclosed during the transaction.

17. Cancellations and No-Shows

Customers should provide reasonable notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.

Ride Sounds may require a deposit or prepayment for future appointments following repeated cancellations or missed appointments.

Any non-refundable appointment deposit or cancellation fee will be disclosed before the customer agrees to it.

18. Payment

Payment is due according to the applicable estimate, invoice, or service agreement.

Unless otherwise agreed, the outstanding balance is due upon completion of authorized work and before release of the vehicle.

Financing, installment-payment, or buy-now-pay-later services offered by third parties are governed by the separate terms and approval requirements of those providers.

19. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

Customers should contact Ride Sounds promptly regarding legitimate concerns about an installation, product, service, or charge so that Ride Sounds has an opportunity to investigate the matter.

A payment dispute or chargeback does not automatically eliminate a customer’s obligation to pay amounts lawfully owed for authorized products or services.

Ride Sounds reserves all rights and remedies available under applicable law regarding unpaid authorized charges.

Nothing in these Terms limits a customer’s lawful right to dispute an unauthorized or incorrect charge.

20. Vehicle Pickup and Storage

Customers are responsible for picking up vehicles promptly after being notified that authorized work has been completed or that the vehicle is otherwise ready for pickup.

Any applicable storage charges will be disclosed and imposed in accordance with applicable law.

Vehicles will be released upon satisfaction of lawful payment obligations and other requirements permitted by applicable law.

21. Personal Property

Customers should remove cash, valuables, sensitive documents, electronics, firearms, and other valuable personal property before leaving a vehicle for service.

Ride Sounds is not responsible for unsecured personal property left inside a vehicle except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

22. Vehicle Data, Battery Disconnection, and Settings

Certain installations and diagnostic procedures may require disconnecting the battery, resetting modules, accessing vehicle settings, pairing Bluetooth devices, or interacting with factory infotainment systems.

These procedures may reset clocks, radio presets, windows, seat memory, steering-angle settings, diagnostic codes, or other stored information.

Customers are responsible for maintaining backups of important personal information stored in vehicle electronics where applicable.

23. Vehicle Operation and Road Testing

The customer authorizes Ride Sounds personnel to operate the vehicle when reasonably necessary to perform, diagnose, verify, or test authorized services.

This authorization includes moving the vehicle and conducting reasonable road testing when necessary to verify operation.

24. Photos and Installation Documentation

Ride Sounds may photograph or record vehicles and installations for documentation, quality control, warranty records, security, training, portfolio, and marketing purposes.

Personally identifying information such as VIN numbers, customer documents, addresses, or other sensitive customer information will not intentionally be published.

Customers who do not want their vehicle used in public marketing materials should notify Ride Sounds before service.

25. Website Information

Ride Sounds attempts to maintain accurate information on RideSounds.com. However, information may occasionally contain errors or become outdated.

Prices, product availability, promotions, specifications, service descriptions, and appointment availability may change.

Website information does not override a specific written estimate, invoice, warranty, or service agreement.

26. Third-Party Products and Services

RideSounds.com may use or reference third-party manufacturers, payment processors, financing providers, scheduling services, maps, social-media platforms, and other services.

Ride Sounds is not responsible for the independent operation, availability, privacy practices, policies, or terms of third-party services.

27. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the Ride Sounds name, logos, website graphics, photographs, written content, service descriptions, branding, and original materials appearing on RideSounds.com are owned by or licensed to Ride Sounds LLC.

These materials may not be reproduced, republished, distributed, or commercially exploited without authorization except as permitted by applicable law.

28. Acceptable Website Use

You may not use RideSounds.com to engage in unlawful activity, attempt unauthorized access to website systems, introduce malicious software, interfere with website operation, impersonate another person, submit fraudulent information, or improperly reproduce protected website content.

Ride Sounds may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect its website, systems, customers, or business.

29. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ride Sounds will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from use of RideSounds.com or Ride Sounds products or services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

30. Customer Responsibility After Installation

Customers should contact Ride Sounds promptly if they notice abnormal electrical behavior, loose equipment, unusual heat, odors, blown fuses, intermittent operation, unexpected warning lights, or other suspected installation problems.

Customers should discontinue operation of equipment when continued use could reasonably cause additional damage.

31. Returns and Refunds

Merchandise returns are subject to the Ride Sounds return policy, manufacturer requirements, and applicable law.

Unless otherwise required by law or agreed in writing, completed labor, diagnostics, programming, tuning, and custom fabrication are generally not refundable simply because a customer changes their mind after the service has been performed.

Defective products may be subject to manufacturer warranty, repair, replacement, or other applicable warranty procedures.

32. Privacy

Use of RideSounds.com is also subject to the Ride Sounds Privacy Policy.

Information submitted through contact forms, booking systems, payment systems, or other website features may be processed as reasonably necessary to provide requested services and operate the business.

33. Electronic Communications

By providing contact information in connection with an inquiry, appointment, estimate, purchase, or service, customers consent to receiving communications reasonably related to that transaction.

This may include appointment confirmations, estimates, service updates, completion notifications, payment information, warranty communications, and follow-up communications.

34. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any provision that conflicts with a non-waivable right under federal, state, or local law will be interpreted or limited as necessary to comply with applicable law.

35. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain effective to the maximum extent permitted by law.

36. Changes to These Terms

Ride Sounds may update these Terms periodically.

The current version will be published on RideSounds.com with the applicable effective date.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive any consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

Automotive service transactions may be subject to the Illinois Automotive Repair Act and other applicable consumer-protection laws.
